Hello! My name is Wendy Myers and I want to talk to you today about a healthy liver and the truth about liver cleansing.
Our livers today are so toxic, everyone’s, without exception because we have over 80,000 chemicals in our environment and dozens of heavy metals that have been drudged up with industry and mining, et cetera. And what I see in my private practice with my clients is that everyone’s livers are so toxic and it makes you sick.
Today, it’s more important than ever to clean your liver. I developed a five-step liver cleanse that I think is one of the most effective ways to detox your liver and prevent disease.
When people have high blood pressure, it’s because their liver is clogged and the blood can’t filter to the liver like it’s supposed to. If you feel nauseated or have headaches or you have pains in your liver, et cetera – and I have a very long laundry list of symptoms that are signs of a toxic liver if you read the article below and the link below the video. The list is a mile long.
So how do you clean your liver? The first thing you need to do and what I think is the most effective are coffee enemas, not the most popular. People tend to cringe when they think of doing a coffee enema, but it’s one of the best ways to mechanically clean your liver. It’s not for cleaning our colon. The caffeine in the coffee enema actually dilates all the blood vessels and capillaries in your liver and allow it to detox and empty out its toxic contents into the intestines.
If you can stomach the thought of coffee enemas, you can do liver flushes. I’ve got a great liver flush on my website on Liveto110.com that you can read about. That entails drinking some grapefruit juice and some olive oil. There are lots of different directions (taking some malic acid, et cetera), it really gives the liver a nice flush. You want to do that periodically.
The next thing you do is you have to eat clean. You have to take care of your liver by not eating sugar. Sugar is a 911 for your body. And your liver has to handle all that sugar. You end up creating a lot of cholesterol when you eat sugar. The liver has to break down all the glucose, et cetera. So while it’s doing that, it can’t detox your body. I’ve got lots of other tips in the article about how you can eat clean and assist your liver to detox rather than hindering it.
The next thing you want to do is try to avoid or at least reduce your alcohol intake. Again, while your liver is processing the alcohol, it can’t detox the other toxins in your body. A lot of people out there are imbibing one drink a week or even one to two or three per day. Those people that are doing that absolutely are going to have major, major problems with toxicity.
The next thing you can do is take supplements to support liver function. And these include milk thistle with Silymarin extract, dandelion roots, burdock root (that’s great as well) in addition to beetroot. These are herbs and plants that are shown to assist the liver to detox and empty out its toxic contents.
In our toxic world, it is more important than ever if you plan to live a long disease-free life to support your liver function in every way possible because when your liver becomes so clogged with toxins and becomes fatty (about 10% of Americans have a fatty liver), it’s no longer able to work and the toxins just build up and up and up in your body until you develop disease. I see this every day in my practice. If you have any kind of chronic health condition, you need to work on your liver health.
